The Vice Minister of Manpower Immanuel Ebenezer Gerungan says that the government is preparing a regulation for tariffs, rights, and protection for the driver partners of application-based transportation services (online motorcycle taxis/ojol), including the provision of holiday bonuses (BHR).

Ebenezer said that this regulation will involve cooperation between stakeholders such as applicators and related ministries/institutions (K/L), including the Ministry of State Secretariat.

“This has become our attention, the attention of our nation. It will later be manifested with the State Secretariat Ministry,” says Ebenezer on Thursday (4/10/2025).

It is worth to note that this year marks the beginning of BHR provision for the online motorcycle taxi drivers.

According to Ebenezer, there are still a number of important evaluations that will later become an important basis in the preparation of future regulations.

"Because each of these has a different character, a different business climate. Later we will find the right formulation," said Ebenezer.

Later, the regulation making will not only involve the Ministry of State Secretariat, Ministry of Manpower and applicators, but also other ministries/institutions such as the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) and the Ministry of Communication and Digital (Komdigi).
