Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian announced the cancellation of the regional leader inaugurations originally scheduled for 6 February 2025 following the Constitutional Court's plan to issue rulings on 310 disputes from the 2024 Regional Head Elections on 4 to 5 February 2025.

In a press briefing on Friday (31/2/2025), he explained that non-disputed regional leader inaugurations will now be merged with the dismissal rulings to improve efficiency. 

"President Prabowo Subianto instructed that the inaugurations be combined due to the short time gap," he said, as quoted by antaranews.com.

The government is awaiting coordination with the General Elections Commission (KPU) and the Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) to determine the exact date for the postponed inaugurations. 

Minister Tito said that the final schedule will be announced after consultations with relevant authorities.
