inp.polri.go.id - Kulonprogo. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo inaugurating the construction of roads and irrigation channels and handing over social assistance to the people in Bulak Sawah, Garongan Village, Panjatan District, Kulonprogo, Yogyakarta.

In his remarks, the Chief of Police emphasized the importance of infrastructure for increasing agricultural productivity and the welfare of local communities.

"Earlier, we inaugurated the construction of a road that connects the people to the agricultural and irrigation areas. Hopefully, this infrastructure can be useful to help farmers, especially in Garongan Village, to be more productive," said the Chief of Police on Saturday (2/15/2025).

Furthermore, General Sigit said that this development is expected to increase the harvest and make the village one of the main food resource areas in the region.

"With the improvement of irrigation channels and roads to the rice fields, we hope that Garongan Village can become an area that has a surplus of rice production which can certainly encourage local economic growth," he added.

In addition to infrastructure, the activity also included the distribution of social assistance for the local community. General Sigit emphasized that this program is part of an effort to support national food security and farmer welfare.
