Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesia’s women’s national football team advanced to the 2024 AFF Women’s Championship final after defeating Singapore 3-0 in the semi finals held at New Laos National Stadium, Vientiane, on Monday (2/12/2024).
The goals were scored by Claudia Scheunemann (6’), Reva Octaviani (45+1’), and Octavianti Nurmalita (90+4’). Indonesia will now face hosts Cambodia in the final on Thursday.
Indonesia dominated from the outset, with playmaker Sydney Hopper orchestrating the attack. The breakthrough came in the sixth minute when 15-year-old Claudia calmly controlled a pass from Viny Sunaryo and unleashed a brilliant shot from outside the penalty area to put Indonesia ahead.
Reva Octaviani doubled the lead just before halftime with a powerful long-range strike that left Singapore’s goalkeeper Hazel Lim helpless.
In the dying moments of the game, substitute Octavianti Nurmalita added a third goal to seal the victory.
With this win, Indonesia not only advances to the final but also secures qualification for the 2025 ASEAN Women’s Football Championship, where they will face top teams from previous tournaments, including Thailand and Vietnam.
