Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesia strongly condemned Israel’s latest airstrikes on Gaza, which killed hundreds of civilians, including women and children, early Tuesday (18/3/2025) during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

“This attack escalates Israeli provocations, jeopardizing the ceasefire and undermining peace negotiations toward a two-state solution,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement on X platform, as quoted by antaranews.com.

Indonesia urged the UN Security Council and the international community to intervene and restore the ceasefire to prevent further civilian casualties.

Israel’s sudden airstrikes marked the deadliest escalation since the 19 January 2025 ceasefire with Hamas. Palestinian agency WAFA reported 404 deaths and 562 injuries as of Tuesday afternoon. Many remain trapped under rubble.

The strikes worsen Gaza’s humanitarian crisis, with Israel blocking essential aid.

Indonesia reaffirmed that ending Israel’s illegal occupation is the only path to lasting peace.
