Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Deputy Youth and Sports Minister Taufik Hidayat praised  on Saturday (3/5/2025) Indonesia's athletes for giving their best at the 2025 IFSC Climbing World Cup in Bali, emphasizing their mental strength and consistency as key areas for continued growth.

Indonesia secured two bronze medals in the speed category, won by Kadek Adi Asih (women’s) and Kiromal Katibin (men’s). 

Deputy Minister Taufik, an Olympic gold medalist himself, encouraged the team to remain focused despite pressure and setbacks, noting the journey is far from over, according to antaranews.com.

Climbing has become a priority sport for Indonesia, especially after Veddriq Leonardo’s historic gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics. The Ministry is committed to nurturing young talent, particularly from regional areas, to prepare for the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.
