Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Law and Human Rights, Supratman Andi Agtas, said that the government will seek diplomatic efforts with Singapore regarding the extradition case of fugitive Paulus Tannos.

Tannos, also known as Thian Po Tjhin, is a fugitive in the electronic ID card corruption scandal and is currently under provisional arrest at Changi Prison.

“The KPK, police, prosecutors, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will work diplomatically on this matter,” Minister Supratman said during a press briefing on Friday (31/1/2025), referring to the Corruption Eradication Commission.

He asserted that while Indonesia respects Singapore’s judicial system, the government is committed to finalizing all extradition requirements before the 3 March 2025 deadline.

“All necessary documents for the extradition will be completed as soon as possible,” he said, as quoted by antaranews.com, adding that the government is dedicated to resolving the case promptly while ensuring adherence to proper legal processes
