Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The West Jakarta Metropolitan Sub-regional Police arrested 34 illegal parking attendants in Cengkareng, West Jakarta, following public complaints about extortion and public nuisance.

West Jakarta Police Head of Operations Superintendent Tri Bayu Nugroho said that the arrests were made during the final day of Operasi Berantas Jaya 2025 on Friday, targeting street-level extortion and thuggery.

“Officers received reports of illegal parking operations along Jalan Baru street in Cengkareng. A joint task force was dispatched and successfully apprehended 34 individuals,” he said on Saturday, as quoted by antaranews.com

Evidence confiscated included small-denomination cash ranging from Rp 5,000 to Rp 10,000 collected from motorists.

All suspects are undergoing further questioning at Cengkareng Police Station to determine their individual roles. Authorities pledged continued enforcement against street crime to ensure public safety and order.
