inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto stated that the governments of Indonesia and Turkey have agreed to finalize the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) and expand market access for products from both countries.
This was conveyed by President Prabowo in a bilateral meeting and in a joint press statement with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the Bogor Presidential Palace, West Java, Wednesday (2/12/2025).
"We are committed to increasing trade between the two countries with mutual benefit for both countries, and also accelerating the finalization of the CEPA agreement between us. We agree to expand market access for products from both countries," explained President Prabowo.
President Prabowo assessed that the partnership between Indonesia and Turkey is aimed at the prosperity of the people of both countries, as well as for a better new world order, leading to world peace and stability.
During President Erdogan's state visit to Indonesia, the two leaders also implemented the High Level Strategic Cooperation Council.
According to President Prabowo, the bilateral meeting and the HLSCC meeting prove that the partnership between Indonesia and Turkey is very strong and solid.
"Today is also the first High Level Strategic Cooperation Council Meeting. Thank you again. Indonesia does not have many regular bilateral mechanisms at the head of state level," said President Prabowo.
