inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo met with PBNU Head of Welfare Alissa Wahid in an audience discussing various national issues, including diversity and violence in educational environments.
General Sigit emphasized his commitment to maintaining diversity as one of the main strengths of the nation.
"We are very happy and committed to continuing to maintain diversity and tolerance as Indonesia is a country with a diverse society. This diversity is a strength that we must continue to maintain together," said General Sigit following a meeting with Alissa at INP Headquarters, South Jakarta on Wednesday (2/12/2025).
On the same occasion, Alissa Wahid reveals that one of the main topics of the discussion is violence in the educational environment. According to her, PBNU continues to minimize, suppress, and eliminate violence in school, islamic school, and islamic boarding school.
“The matter of violence in the educational environment has become one of our main concerns as we have taken concrete steps to tackle this issue,” says Alissa.
Alissa also emphasized the importance of police support in handling violence cases in islamic boarding schools while also handling radicalism that threatens the society.
