inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo ensured that the police will oversee the International Workers' Day (May Day) celebration held at Monas Field, Central Jakarta until the end.

He has instructed all ranks of the Bhayangkara Corps to oversee the labor elements from the beginning to the end of the event.

"Of course, we, together with all other related colleagues involved in security, will oversee the process from the beginning to the end," he said in a statement received in Jakarta, Thursday.

In addition to securing the event, Chief Sigit also ensured that traffic flow can continue to run smoothly.

He has instructed officers in the field to regulate traffic so that all people can be served, both labor groups who will attend the rally and people who will be doing activities.

"What is clear is that we have arranged the traffic flow, both from routes originating from the East and from the Tangerang area," he said.

Sigit hopes that the May Day rally, which will be attended in person by President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto, will bring good news for workers.
