Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo maintained the police corps’ commitment to supporting President Prabowo Subianto’s Astacita vision by launching SMA Kemala Taruna Bhayangkara, a new elite high school aimed at developing future national leaders.
“Today we join efforts to realize the President’s program to create high-quality human resources by building leading schools,” he said during a visit to the Police College (STIK) after meeting with newly selected students on Sunday (18/5/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
The school, set to open this year, has admitted 119 students from a pool of 11,765 applicants through a nationwide selection process held in 38 provinces.
Chief Sigit stressed the admissions were merit-based and free from interference, even from his office.
Graduates are expected to help Indonesia capitalize on its demographic bonus. The school was established through collaboration between the Kemala Bhayangkari Foundation, the Kemala Taruna Bhayangkara Education Foundation, and the National Cadre Education Foundation.
