Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo said on Wednesday (15/1/2025) that the INP continues to provide career opportunities for people with disabilities.
"Currently, 19 people with disabilities have joined the police force. This is part of our commitment to ensure equal opportunities for all members of society, including those with disabilities," he said, as quoted by antaranews.com.
Chief Sigit also highlighted that the police force is working on improving facilities to support the health of people with disabilities, with over 19,000 healthcare facilities across Indonesia.
At the moment, the INPi runs six special schools, locally known as SLB, to help children with disabilities receive education. To further support the development of human resources, the police also operate 625 early childhood education centers, 55 schools from elementary to high school, three madrasahs, and 19 religious education centers (TPQ), as well as the Kemala Bhayangkara schools.
