The Indonesian National Police (INP) Criminal Investigation Agency is currently looking into the report filed by the former Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil, for the allegation of defamation. The report was addressed to an account under the name Lisa Mariana, who allegedly spread personal information without a clear legal basis and went viral.

The Head of Public Information Bureau of INP Public Relations, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko confirms the report and has been received by the police.

“The report file has been received by us and we are now looking into it. The substance of the report is being reviewed by investigators to determine the next legal steps," said Trunoyudo on Monday (4/21/2025).

He explained that the in-depth process was carried out to ensure whether or not there were criminal elements in the case.

"If it meets the criminal elements, it will be determined which directorate has the authority to handle it. We will convey further developments after the in-depth process is complete," he added.

INP emphasized that the entire process of handling the report was carried out professionally and based on applicable legal provisions.
