Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National  Police (INP)’s Traffic Corps has been preparing the traffic arrangement and public safety ahead of the May Day rally scheduled for Thursday in Central Jakarta. 

The event, organized by a coalition of Indonesian labor unions, is expected to draw large crowds — and, for the first time, a sitting president.

Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, the INP Head of Traffic corps, said  on Wednesday (30/4/2025) that traffic control will be a top priority, with both centralized and mobile escorts deployed.

“The Traffic Corps will support and strengthen existing security. Every unit must understand its technical role,” he said, as quoted by antaranews.com.

This year’s rally is notable as President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to attend the event at the National Monument (Monas), making the operation a VVIP-level security effort under direct supervision of the INP Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
