Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Japan’s GreenBank Corporation has signed a Joint Venture Agreement with Wiraraja Strategic to invest USD 1 billion in the Wiraraja Green Renewable Energy & Smart Eco Industrial Park on Galang Island, Batam FTZ.

The deal was formalized at the “Regional Infrastructure Investment Opportunities for Economic Transformation” forum at the Indonesia Pavilion, World Expo 2025 Osaka.

“This collaboration reflects strong investor confidence, especially from Japan, in Indonesia’s development direction,” said Akhmad Ma’ruf Maulana, President Director of Wiraraja Indonesia, in a statement on Saturday (24/5/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com. 

The project is part of Indonesia’s 2025–2030 National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) and enjoys full government backing.

Officials highlighted the role of green infrastructure and industry downstreaming in Indonesia’s economic transformation toward Vision 2045.
