inp.polri.go.id - Malinau. In an effort to support the food security program, Malinau Sub-regional Police personnel monitored corn fields in the area. This activity is part of the police's commitment in maintaining food stability, Thursday (4/10/2025).

Malinau Sub-regional Police Chief, Superintendent Imam Irawan, stated that this monitoring was carried out to ensure that the corn sowing process runs optimally in accordance with the targets set by the government.

"We want to ensure that the land used is productive and can provide maximum results for the welfare of the community," said Imam Irawan.

Imam Irawan also said that in addition to monitoring the activity, his party  also coordinated with local farmers to provide an understanding of the importance of food security and effective farming techniques. It is hoped that with this assistance, corn production in Malinau can increase and contribute to local food availability.

This program has received appreciation from the community as a strategic step in realizing food independence. In the future, similar activities will continue to be carried out sustainably to encourage more advanced agriculture in the Malinau region.
