"The importance of religious moderation is emphasized to improve social and cultural harmony in realizing spiritual prosperity," said the General Chairperson of PP Muhammadiyah Haedar Nashir, Tuesday (12/31/2024).

This is one of Muhammadiyah's recommendations for the Indonesian nation in welcoming the New Year 2025. PP Muhammadiyah also reminded the government to ensure the creation of civility in public spaces, both in cyberspace and in real life.

This can be done by emphasizing the responsibility of public officials, religious figures, and influencers to be examples in a multicultural society.

"Responding to social problems, such as child marriage, violence against women and children, and divorce are also priorities, by encouraging the government to strengthen family resilience through progressive religious values," said the General Chairperson of PP Muhammadiyah.

Muhammadiyah also recommends that the government make religion the basis for strengthening values ​​in families, communities, and education. The use of religion can form a better and more prosperous society.

The General Chairperson of PP Muhammadiyah said that his party views the role of religion as needing to be emphasized as a basis for strengthening moral character. This is considered important to do, especially in dealing with negative phenomena that occur in society, such as suicide, mental health disorders, online loans, online gambling, and pornography.

Muhammadiyah encourages the government, public officials, religious figures, and influencers to save the nation's generation from all kinds of moral and social diseases that destroy Indonesia's future.
