inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman says the government's national rice reserve stock (CBP) has now reached its highest level in 20 years.

"Now farmers are happy, production is increasing, our food security is strong, our stock is the highest in 20 years," said the Minister of Agriculture on Thursday (4/10/2025).

He also said that based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and Perum Bulog, national rice production is also at its highest for 7 years. 

According to Minister Andi, President Prabowo Subianto's full support for the agricultural sector has proven to bring real results.

Production facilities, downstreaming, and price control continue to be encouraged by the government to ensure the welfare of farmers and the availability of food for the community.

The Minister of Agriculture said that currently a number of countries such as Malaysia, Japan, and the Philippines are facing a rice crisis, in contrast to Indonesia which is actually able to maintain national food stability.

"We should be grateful. With a population of 282 million, imagine the impact if there is a food shortage. Social conflict could arise, even threatening the stability of the country," said the Minister of Agriculture.

He also expressed his gratitude for the extraordinary achievements in the agricultural sector during President Prabowo's leadership period.

Indonesia recorded an increase in agricultural production with a spike of 62 percent.

Previously, in the simultaneous rice harvest in 14 provinces led directly by President Prabowo Subianto, which was centered in Majalengka, West Java, Monday (4/7/2025), the Minister of Agriculture said that currently Bulog is able to absorb up to 800,000 tons of farmers' rice in one absorption.
