inp.polri.go.id - North Sumatra. The North Sumatra Police Mobile Brigade Unit's A Pioneer Battalion continues their strong support to national food security.

On Monday (2/24/2025), the mobile brigade personnel harvested vegetables and chilies on land belonging to Company 1 of the A Pioneer Battalion, which located on Jalan Bhayangkara No.293, Indra Kasih, Medan Tembung District, Medan City.

Other than harvesting the vegetables, the activity, which led by the A Pioneer Battalion Commander, Police Assistant Superintendent Zaenal Muhlisin, also reviews the fish that they cultivate in the Taman Kawasan Rumah Pangan Lestari (KRPL) as part of the food security program initiated by the unit.

Zaenal stated that this program demonstrates his unit’s concern for food security, both in the internal environment and for the surrounding community.

In addition to being a strategic step in facing economic challenges, this activity also aims to inspire the community to be more active in utilizing available land for agriculture and fisheries.

“We want to give the best example of how to optimize the land that can help us realize food independence and improve welfare," he said.

With this program, it is hoped that the synergy between police, the government, and the community can be stronger in realizing sustainable food security in North Sumatra.
