Inp.polri.go.id - Jayapura. In response to Wednesday's attack by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) that claimed the lives of two civilians in Yalimo, Papua Mountains, the Papua Regional Police have deployed the Damai Cartenz Task Force to track down the assailants.
Papua Police Chief Inspector General Patrige Renwarin said on Friday (10/1/2025) that investigations are underway to identify those responsible and determine whether the attackers are part of a local group or new arrivals intending to destabilize the region.
"We have deployed the Damai Cartenz Task Force to uncover the case and take decisive legal action against those involved in terrorizing the community," he said.
The attack has prompted action to restore order, prevent further violence, and bring the assailants to justice. Police operations are focused on ensuring public safety and maintaining peace in Yalimo.
The situation remains closely monitored as law enforcement intensifies efforts to protect the region’s security.
