inp.polri.go.id - Central Jakarta. Indonesian National Police (INP) ensured readiness to guard the action of expressing opinions from the Alliance of Honorary R2 and R3 Indonesia in front of the DPR RI Building, Central Jakarta. The joint personnel consisted of Metro Jaya Regional Police, Central Jakarta Sub-regional Metro Police, Indonesian National Military (TNI), Jakarta Regional Government and related agencies.

"In order to secure the demonstration from the Alliance of Honorary R2 and R3 Indonesia, we are going to deploy 1,394 joint personnel," said the Head of the Central Jakarta Sub-regional Metro Police, Senior Superintendent Susatyo Purnomo Condro in Jakarta, on Monday (2/3/2025).

He explained that the personnel were placed at several points around the Indonesian House of Representative (DPR RI) building. This security, he said, was carried out to prevent the masses from entering the DPR RI complex.

He further explained that the diversion of traffic in front of the DPR RI Building was situational. Susatyo said that traffic engineering would be implemented considering the development of the dynamics of the situation in the field.

Susatyo added that all personnel involved in security had been ordered to always act persuasively, not to provoke and be provoked, to prioritize negotiation, humanistic service and to maintain security and safety. He ensured that none of the personnel involved in security were carrying weapons and would continue to respect the masses who would express their opinions.

He also appealed to the field coordinators (korlap) and orators to give speeches politely and not provoke the masses.
