Inp.polri.go.id - Indramayu.  The Indramayu Sub-regional Police have deployed officers to help seal a broken embankment in Eretan Kulon Village, Indramayu, West Java, after tidal flooding and high waves submerged residential areas under 40 cm of water.

"We are using stones from the surrounding area to temporarily close the damaged embankment and prevent further water from entering residential areas," said Assistant Senior Inspector Wawan, the Indramayu Police Head of Sabhara Unit, on Wednesday (29/1/2025).

Sabhara is a unit within the Indonesian National Police (INP) responsible for public order and security

In addition to sealing the embankment, officers assisted in evacuating affected residents, especially those hesitant to leave their homes, as reported by antaranews.com.

Tidal flooding began early Wednesday, with waves reaching up to four meters.
