Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  President Prabowo Subianto has formed a Task Force to expedite the establishment and operations of 80,000 Red and White village cooperatives across Indonesia to empower local communities.

"We have just formed the Red and White Village Cooperatives Task Force, and I am leading it as the Coordinating Minister for Food," said Zulkifli Hasan, the Minister of Food Coordination, after a limited meeting at the Presidential Palace on Thursday (8/5/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.

Given the vastness of Indonesia, he emphasized that the task force would be supported by daily implementers and coordinators to ensure fast and equitable implementation across regions.

As of Thursday, 9,835 village cooperatives had already been established, following the March 2025 Presidential Instruction. The official launch and operational start of the cooperatives will coincide with Youth Pledge Day on 28 October  2025.
