Inp.polri.go.id - Bogor. President Prabowo Subianto has instructed that the groundbreaking of 18 strategic downstream industrial projects under review by Danantara Indonesia be completed no later than March 2026, aiming to accelerate investment and national economic transformation.

Speaking after the Cabinet retreat in Hambalang, Bogor, on Tuesday (6/1/2026) State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi said, “From six projects scheduled for January, the President asked that the rest be fast-tracked so all 18 can break ground by February or, at the latest, March.”

The directive targets projects with a combined estimated investment value of Rp 600 trillion, according to antaranews.com.

One key project includes nationwide waste-to-energy facilities across 34 cities, alongside coal gasification into dimethyl ether to reduce LPG imports.

The projects will be led by state wealth fund Danantara, involving multiple ministries to ensure swift coordination.

President Prabowo emphasized cross-sector collaboration to deliver tangible results for public welfare in 2026.
