Inp.polri.go.id - Bogor. President Prabowo Subianto on Tuesday (6/1/2026) formed a Post-Disaster Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Task Force to accelerate recovery in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra, following recent disasters, with nationwide coordination mandated.

“The President has decided to establish a task force for three provinces,”  said State Secreatry Prsetyo Hadi after a Cabinet retreat in Hambalang, Bogor, naming Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian as chair.

Richard Tampubolon was appointed deputy chair, with the human development coordinating minister leading the advisory board to ensure cross-ministerial execution.

The task force will prioritize temporary and permanent housing, compensation for damaged homes, and support, involving ministries, the National Police, and public works agencies.

By placing the Home Ministry at the helm, the government aims to streamline regional coordination and speed rehabilitation efforts across affected communities.
