Inp.polri.go.id - Denpasar. A 47-year-old Russian citizen, identified by the initials AS, allegedly hit and killed a 24-year-old man from Jembrana, Bali, in a traffic accident on Sunset Road, Kuta, early Thursday morning (20/3/2025).

Denpasar Sub-regional Police Head of Traffic Assistant Senior Inspector Yusuf Dwi Admodjo, explained that the victim, who was riding a custom chopper motorcycle without license plates, was hit from behind by a BMW at approximately 2.30 am local time. 

The impact caused fatal injuries, with the victim pronounced dead at the scene.

Preliminary findings suggest the Russian driver, identified as AS, may have been under the influence of alcohol, as officers discovered a bottle of liquor in his vehicle. However, authorities are verifying whether intoxication played a role in the incident.
