The East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police of Uniformed Regular Police Directorate personnel, Bali Regional Police Mobile Brigade, West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Mobile Brigade, East Java Regional Police Mobile Brigade continue to show their attention to the people affected by Mount Lewotobi Laki-Laki eruption.
This time around, they distribute the clean waters to the evacuation post through the Water Treatment and Water Gen cars.
The clean water distribution goal was to meet the evacuation post needs, such as for drinking, cooking, and others. The eruption has forced thousands of people to leave their homes.
Drinking water distribution is carried out every three hours, adjusted to maintain the durability of clean water distribution equipment so that it functions optimally during the emergency response period.
Head of Public Relations of the East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Ariasandy, emphasized that the police are fully committed to helping communities affected by the eruption.
"The clean water assistance distributed through the Water Treatment car is expected to ease the burden on the community at evacuation posts," he said on Thursday (11/21/2024).
Ariasandy also appeals to the people at the evacuation posts to remain calm and cooperate with the officers at the field.
“We are here to ensure that the basic needs of the refugees are met. We also implore people to follow the instructions of the officers at the field for smooth aid distribution,” said Ariasandy.
This assistance is a real manifestation of police’s concern in easing the burden of affected communities and maintaining the stability of basic needs in evacuation sites.
