INP Thwarts Illegal Migrant Worker Trafficking in Riau Island

inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Human Trafficking Crime Task Force (TPPO) thwarted the sending of illegal Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) from Karimun, Riau Islands (Kepri) to Malaysia. Three people were arrested in this case.

Director of General Crimes (Dirtipidum) of INP Criminal Investigation Agency Brigadier General Djuhandhani Rahardjo Puro emphasized that two victims were also saved from this disclosure.

“True, tomorrow we will hold an open conference, led by the Criminal Investigation Agency Chief,” said Djuhandhani.

Djuhandhani adds that Karimun Sub-regional Police Chief Superintendent Robby Topan Manusiwa the human trafficking case was revealed after a collaboration between INP, Riau Island Regional Police, and Karimun Sub-regional Police. In this case, the perpetrators of TPPO illegally sent PMI through the border gate in Karimun.

"That's right, this disclosure is a collaboration between the TPPO Task Force of INP, the Riau Islands Regional Police and the Karimun Sub-regional Police led directly by the Head of the TPPO Law Enforcement Sub-Task Force of INP, Brigadier General Djuhandhani in Karimun," he explained
