inp.polri.go.id - South Kalimantan. South Kalimantan Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Rosyanto Yudha Hermawan along with Minister of Environment and Forestry Hanif Nurofiq, along with the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum plants tree seed on the 560 hectares of land. The activity was held in Central Park Batulicin, Tanah Bumbu Regency on Tuesday (12/31/2024).
In this activity, various plants such as Eucalyptus, Sengon, and Jabon become the main pick for the planting activity. The selection of these types of plants is based on their high ecological and economic benefits, especially in supporting the Asta Cita program of Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto as well as benefits for the surrounding community.
The Head of Public Relations of South Kalimantan Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Adam Erwindi says that the activity demonstrates the collaboration of central and regional government, also with security institutions in preserving South Kalimantan nature.
“This activity is in line with the national program of preserving natural life and reducing the impact of climate change. We are committed to continue in supporting this movement for a greener future,” says Adam Erwindi.
This seedling planting action is a form of joint commitment to continue to monitor and care for the plants that have been planted, ensuring the sustainability of the greening program in the area. With this step, it is hoped that Central Park Batulicin will not only be a green area but also a center for environmental education for the community.
