Inp.polri.go.id - Bandarlampung. Three police officers were shot and killed during a raid on an illegal cockfighting operation in Way Kanan, Lampung, Lampung Regional Police Office confirmed on Monday (17/3/2025).
“Yes, three officers died while conducting the raid,” said Lampung Police Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Yuni Iswandari.
The fallen officers were identified as Negara Batin Police Office Chief First Inspector Lusiyanto and his officers, Senior Brigadier Petrus, and Second Brigadier Ghalib.
The officers were shot in the head by unidentified assailants when a 17-member team from Way Kanan Sub-regional Police arrived at the scene, according to antaranews.com.
“As soon as they reached the location, they came under fire,” Chief Iswandari said.
The bodies are being transported to Bhayangkara Hospital for autopsy, while the regional police chief heads to the crime scene.
