11 Rohingya Found Dead in Western Waters of Aceh

Inp.polri.go.id - Meulaboh.  The Non-Immigration Inspection Office (TPI) in Meulaboh, West Aceh confirmed the loss of 11 Rohingya people in the western waters of Aceh. "The 11 victims have been laid to rest in two separate locations in Aceh Jaya District and West Aceh District," said Jamaluddin, theActing Head of the TPI in Meulaboh, on Tuesday afternoon (26/3/2024). These victim bodies were discovered at various locations, including the waters of Calang and Lamno in Aceh Jaya District, as well as Suak Uleue Village in Arongan Lambalek District, West Aceh District between 23 to 25 March 2024, as reported by antaranews.com Out of the drowned victims, 10 were male and one was female. Jamaluddin said other Rohingya refugees, who were found adrift in the waters of West Aceh District, are being temporarily housed at the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) Building in West Aceh District, in the Suak Nie area, Johan Pahlawan District, Meulaboh.
