Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police deployed 1,500 personnel to ensure safety during the New Year’s Eve celebrations.

Metro Jaya Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Ade Ary Syam Indradi said during a press briefing on Tuesday (31/12/2024) that the team, comprising members of the police, military, and Jakarta provincial administration, were stationed at key locations to prevent disturbances and ensure smooth festivities.

“We have deployed 1,500 personnel to secure the 2024–2025 New Year’s Eve events,” he said.

Authorities have implemented early detection measures and mapped potential security risks, supported by real-time surveillance via strategically placed CCTV cameras. Officers monitored 12 entertainment stages along the Sudirman-Harmoni corridor during the city’s car-free night (CFN).

The entertainment stages were located at venues including Panin Bank, SCBD, FX Sudirman, Hotel Orient, and Patung Kuda, among others.

As part of the event, Sudirman-Harmoni roads were closed starting at 6 pm on Tuesday until the festivities concluded.
