Commander Wahyu emphasized that modernization is necessary to counter increasingly sophisticated military technology from other countries, ensuring a more effective defense and attack capability. However, he reassured that the current Army weapon systems are still adequate for safeguarding Indonesia's territorial integrity.
The commander also highlighted the importance of collaborating with domestic defense industries to foster independence in the defense sector, in line with the government’s policy.
