2024 Patuh Turangga Operation Records 1,767 Traffic Violations

inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police announce that traffic violations by the two-wheeled vehicles are still high as police conduct 2024 Patuh Turangga Operation in the province.

The East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Traffic Director, Senior Superintendent Restika Perdamean Nainggolan says the operation will begin on July 15th and will end on July 21st, 2024.

According to the 2024 Patuh Turangga Operation data, there are 1,767 traffic violations recorded and 1,279 others were only given warnings and education by the police.

The operation reports there are 1,537 two-wheeled vehicles violations and 230 four-wheeled vehicles violations.

He also details that 1,180 of two-wheeled vehicles were caught violating the traffic law for not wearing a helmet. Meanwhile, there are 95 traffic violations for using phones while driving.

Furthermore, he says that the 2024 Patuh Turangga Operation goal is to invite the people to comply with the traffic law and suppress the traffic accident on the road.

“We continue to educate the public to be more compliant with the traffic law. Your own safety is what’s important. Protect yourself, family, and others while driving in the road,” conclude Restika.
