Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto declared the 2025 Eid homecoming season the best in Indonesian history, citing smooth traffic flow and a record-low accident rate.

“Homecoming this year went smoothly. I received reports that this is the best mudik in our history,” he said during a cabinet session themed “Six Months of the Read and White Cabinet” at the Presidential Palace on Monday (5/5/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.

The president noted a 30% drop in accidents, despite an increase in the number of travelers compared to previous years. Responding to claims that fewer people returned home, he said the efficiency showed effective coordination, not declining interest.

The president praised the Indonesian National Police (INP), the Indonesian Military (TNIP, and transportation officials, especially for supporting the “work from everywhere” policy that allowed early travel before the official holiday.

Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka and nearly all cabinet members attended the session, the third of its kind in 2025.
