Inp.polri.go.id - Bandung. Persib Bandung won the 2024/2025 Liga 1 football championship after Persebaya Surabaya drew 3-3 against Persik Kediri on Monday (5/5/2025), making it mathematically impossible to catch up with Persib’s 64 points.
“I think Persib’s consistency—from the first to the second half of the season—was the key. Everyone’s happy, it’s incredible,” said defender Achmad Jufriyanto, celebrating his third league title with the team, as quoted by antaranews.com.
Persebaya now sits on 54 points with only three matches remaining, meaning a maximum of nine points—insufficient to surpass Persib. This marks Persib’s second Liga 1 title, following their 2014 triumph.
Under Croatian coach Bojan Hodak, Persib displayed consistent form throughout the season, earning back-to-back championships and solidifying their status as one of Indonesia’s top football clubs.
