Inp.polri.go.id - Semarang. A total of 250 participants from multiple regions will compete in the Kapolda (Regional Police Chief) Cup II kickboxing and boxing championship hosted by the Central Java Regional Police to commemorate Heroes Day.
The event will take place at The Park Mall, Semarang, on 15 and 16 November 2025.
“We want to discover new talents. These ‘young heroes’ who can become national-level athletes,” said Central Java Police’s Director of General Crime Investigation, Senior Superintendent Dwi Subagyo, on Friday evening (14/11/2025), as cited by antaranews.com.
Participants come from Central Java as well as Jakarta, West Java, and East Java. Chief Dwi said that the competition aims to channel youth potential and prevent them from engaging in crime or street violence. The event features athletes, amateurs, and first-time fighters, all trained to build discipline and character.
The tournament covers multiple weight classes, from lightweight to over 85 kg, with age categories ranging from 8 to 22. Organizers say the competition strengthens youth discipline and prepares promising fighters for future national events, including the upcoming Provincial Sports Week (Porprov).
