Police Senior Superintendent Ibrahim Tompo, Head of Public Relations of the West Java Regional Police, has confirmed that a total of 28 injured victims from the collision between the local train in Bandung Raya and the Turangga train in Cicalengka, West Java, on Friday (5/1/24) have been successfully evacuated.
Providing additional details, he revealed that the Turangga train carried a total of 287 passengers, while the local Bandung Raya train accommodated 191 passengers.
He added that three individuals lost their lives in the incident, and as of now, only two have been successfully evacuated.
"Our current focus is on prioritizing the evacuation of the victims," he concluded.
