Inp.polri.go.id - Mataram. In commemorating Pancasila's anniversary, the Papuan students' community in Lombok island, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), performed an art festival titled "Weaving Art, Sowing Peace and Unity of the Nation". The art performance night brought by the Papuan students' community was held in NTB Province Cultural Park on Monday (31/5) and attended by Chief of NTB Regional Police, Police Inspector General Muhammad Iqbal, and 162/Wira Bhakti Military Departmental Commander, Armed Forces Brigadier General Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani. Police Inspector General Muhammad Iqbal appreciated the success of the show commemorating Pancasila's anniversary. "This event is the high spirit of the youth, which initiated by Papuan students in Lombok", the two-star general said. Chief of NTB Regional Police said that the event could boost our love towards the beloved country. Religious, ethnicity, and cultural differences should not have any problem, and tolerance must be fostered. "This event encourages us to love our country more. Whatever difference of ethnicity, religion, and culture we all may have, there should be no such borders in our beloved Indonesia. We have to maximise similarities and tolerance and minimise intolerance", the 1991 Armed Forces Academy Graduate said. Police Inspector General Muhammad Iqbal also added that Pancasila and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika was given specifically for Indonesia. "By the spirit of Pancasila and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, Indonesia has passed its 75th anniversary. Let's hand-in-hand to develop this nation", the former chief of PR and Press Division of National Police said. On the other side, the 162/Wira Bhakti Military Departmental Commander said that Indonesia is united in the frame of Pancasila and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, with the same aim of advancing Indonesian nations. He said that NTB Regional Police and 162/Wira Bhakti Military Regional Command would fully support all positive events of the youth without looking at their ethnic background. The performance also became a soft launch night for the Papuan Student Community of Lombok (KOMPAK), which established today. Head of KOMPAK, Ervin Yanpiet Aibekob, hopes that Papuan students in Lombok should study and contribute to Indonesia's development, specifically in NTB province.
