inp.polri.go.id. - Jakarta. The Chief of Indonesian National Police, Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, led a video conference (vicon) attended by all Regional Police Chiefs. The vicon was aimed to monitor the response of the Covid-19 pandemic after Eid directly.   The selected Chiefs of Regional Police, i.e. West Kalimantan, North Sumatra, West Sumatra, Riau, Jambi, West Java, Central Java, Riau Islands and Polda Metro Jaya, presented the results of Covid-19 response in their respective regions.   The presentation included the number of confirmed cases, deaths, recoveries, obstacles, including facilities and infrastructure.   The Chief of Indonesian National emphasised several things, such as being aware of the new cluster of Covid-19. Sigit mentioned all Regional Unit Heads (Kasatwil) to be sensitive in responding to the spread of Covid-19, especially in new clusters.   "We must continue to move and move to face this difficult situation of this pandemic. The front line that the government hopes is the TNI (Indonesian National Armed Forces)-Polri (Indonesian National Police)," as said by the Chief of Indonesian National Police in his written statement.   He also advised his staff to oversee the government's efforts to restore the economy.   "We must continue to oversee the recovery of the national economy so that it will be improved," he emphasised.   Sigit also reminded the importance of vaccination acceleration. Also, it is essential to maximise or continue to oversee the Micro PPKM to prevent and break the chain of Covid-19 transmission.   "Beware of the high number in Malaysia. Strengthen the management to handle Covid-19, especially at the national border," Sigit said.
