inp.polri.go.id - Banda Aceh. The Aceh Regional Police and its ranks uncovered alleged misuse of subsidized fuel by confiscating a total of 32 tons of diesel fuel in several areas across Aceh Province. In the series of actions, the police named 22 individuals as suspects.
The Head of Public Relations of the Aceh Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Joko Krisdiyanto, stated that the case was uncovered through several operations from October 19–25, 2026.
"In addition to confiscating subsidized diesel fuel, the police also arrested 22 individuals and named them suspects in the criminal act of subsidized fuel misuse," Joko said in Banda Aceh on Tuesday (10/27/2026).
He explained that the suspects were detained in several district and city police jurisdictions under the Aceh Regional Police. The police also confiscated 18 four-wheeled and six-wheeled vehicles suspected of being connected to the case.
This action is part of police's efforts to eradicate the misuse of subsidized fuel, which can disrupt the distribution and availability of fuel for the public.
Misuse of subsidized fuel has the potential to hinder fuel distribution to eligible residents and even trigger long queues at some gas stations (SPBU).
Joko revealed that a series of police actions have also reduced vehicle queues at several gas stations in Aceh.
The Aceh Regional Police emphasized that they will continue to monitor and enforce the law against alleged misuse of subsidized fuel. This measure is expected to ensure targeted energy distribution and ensure that the public has access to fuel for its intended purpose.
