Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Agency for Disaster Countermeasure (BNPB) reported that 37 disasters occurred took place during July 3-9, 2023, resulting in six casualties. This report was conveyed by the Head of the BNPB Disaster Data, Information and Communication Center Abdul Muhari. "The affected regions include Aceh, South Sumatra, West Java, East Java, especially Bali, Nusa Tenggara, Sulawesi, and Kalimantan. A total of 6 people died, 3 in Lumajang and 3 in Bali," he said on Tuesday (11/7/23). He highlighted that floods were the dominant type of disaster during this week, while forest and land fires (karhutla) dominated the previous week. "In the past three to four days, we have been receiving numerous inquiries from the public, questioning how flash floods could occur when we were believed to be in the peak of the dry season," he said.
