Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian Survey Institute (LSI) stated that the level of trust in the Indonesian National Police (INP) has now reached 65%. The increase of public trust in INP is due to firm measures ordered by Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, the Chief of INP, to his men to resolve major cases, LSI Executive Director Djayadi Hanan explained. "This achievement certainly provides a breath of fresh air as well as a form of public affirmation of the INP's efforts to continue to improve," he said in an online press conference on Tuesday (11/7/23). He explained that public trust in the INP increased when compared to the April 2023 findings. The public trust in INP is currently above the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), the House of Representatives (DPR), and political parties. He further elaborated that the survey was conducted on July 1-8, 2023, involving 1.242 respondents. The sample population is Indonesian citizens aged 17 years and over or married and have a telephone/cellphone, or about 83% of the total national population. Sample selection was done through the random digit dialing (RDD) method or random phone number generation. The margin of error of the survey is estimated at ±2.8% at the 95% confidence level, assuming simple random sampling. (ay/hn/um)
