"We have successfully neutralized 4 KKB members in the Bintang Mountains area. Information from the field indicates that we have confiscated 2 firearms," he said in his statement. The Chief of Public Relations for the Damai Cartenz Task Force, Superintendent Dr. Bayu Suseno, added that the authorities were at the scene of the incidentf for clean-up operations at the location.  A joint task force were in the process of identifying the bodies.  The four bodies of the KKB members were expected to be brought down from the mountainous region. Chief of Bintang Mountains Police, Superintendent Dafi Bastoni, said that the success of this operation was achieved through the cooperation between the joint Indonesian National Police-Indonesian Military forces, including the Damai Cartenz Task Force and the Border Security Task Force. "This success is the result of cooperation between the INP and the Indonesian Military, who are part of the Damai Cartenz Task Force as well as the Border Security Task Force that has been present here," he said.
