43rd ASEAN Summit Gave the Same Economic Impact as G20 Summit Bali, Sandiaga Says

Indonesian Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno predicts that the 43rd ASEAN Summit in Jakarta will give an impact to economic sector the same as the G20-2022 Summit in Bali. Sandiaga stated that he had deployed his special team to calculate the economic impact in detail from the ASEAN Summit. “ASEAN Summit predicted to have the same impact as G20 Summit in Bali. Although the number of states attending the ASEAN Summit is far less than the G20 Summit, the state partners namely China, Korea, Japan, India, Canada, and United States still came here with their delegation,” said Sandiaga. Moreover, Sandiaga also monitors all deals regarding investment and continuous tourism proposal in several super priority destination. “During business matching, we will focus on quality and continuous investment. We hoped that tourism sector could net 6-8 billion USD in investment and able to produce 4.4 million employment,” said Sandiaga. The theme of epicentrum of growth for the 43rd ASEAN Summit is proper theme due to current state of world economy growing slow while ASEAN economic state rocketed, according to the Tourism Minister. “We will continue to collaborate because these agreements will make sure ASEAN centrality, while also an important point from ASEAN in transforming economic world filled with challenges. The ASEAN community is centered around Jakarta and it is our duty to show the world that not only that we are ready to held a successful Summit, but also the substances that have been agreed upon here will bring the world to a better future,” conclude Sandiaga.
