Metro Jaya Regional Police have implemented traffic diversions in several area from Thursday (9/7/2023) morning to evening on the third day of the 43rd ASEAN Summit, Jakarta. Quoted from @tmcpoldametro, the Traffic Director of Metro Jaya Regional Police confirmed to have implemented traffic diversion from 06:00 to 19:00. The traffic that are being diversed are Rasuna Said street, MH Thamrin – General Sudirman street, Gatot Subroto street, and around GBK Senayan street. Police implored the community to prefer use public transportation or seek another alternative route. For those who came from GBK east area (Tebet) to west (Slipi) could utilize Kapten Tendean street - Wolter Monginsidi street - Trunojoyo street - Kyai Maja street - Kebayoran Baru street - Arteri Pondok Indah street - U-turn in front of Gandaria City – Jalan Teuku Nyak Arief – Jalan S.Parman – and so on. On the other hand, road user came from GBK west area (Slipi) heading east (Tebet) could go via alan S.Parman – Jalan Pejompongan – Jalan Penjernihan – Jalan R.M. Margono – Jalan Galunggung – Jalan Dr. Saharjo – Jalan Prof Dr. Soeporno – Jalan MT. Haryono – and so on. Latif implores community to support the 43rd ASEAN Summit while regional government have issued order such as online school and work from home in supporting the international event. “Obviously we need to cooperate for the sake and pride of our own nation. On the other hand we are truly sorry for the inconvenience of this operation for we want this ASEAN Summit succeeded,” explained Latif.
