Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) reveals his party has uncovered land mafia cases in several parts of Indonesia with a total potential loss of 5.7 trillion IDR.
"We have been working together with the Indonesian National Police (INP) and the prosecutor's office, and we have secured the state from losing around more than 5.7 trillion IDR," says minister AHY on Monday (8/5/2024).
Minister AHY says in 2024, out of 80 target operation that have been determined in early year, more than half of it have been disclosed with many suspects arrested.
Other than part of their commitment, the attention to eradicate land mafia is also part of President Joko Widodo instruction who demands justice assurance for his people.
Moreover, Minister AHY will also strenghten prevention, handling, and law enforcement effort on land dispute and conflicts.
"If we can prevent it, then why not? If they cannot convinced them by words, we will not hesitate to resolve the matters through legal battles," said Minister AHY in conclusion.
