Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. A 5.0 magnitude earthquake shook Bandung Regency, West Java, at 9.41 am on Wednesday (18/9/2024), according to the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG).
The quake’s epicenter was located on land, 24 kilometers southeast of Bandung Regency, at a depth of 10 kilometers.
The tremor was felt in several areas, including Banjaran, Lembang, Parompong, West Bandung, Baleendah, Garut, and Majalaya.
BMKG confirmed that the earthquake had no tsunami potential.
However, residents were advised to remain calm and stay alert, avoiding unverified information until a full report is released. Updates can be accessed via the BMKG info app, social media, or by contacting the nearest BMKG office.
