Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) confirmed that 50 victims from the collapse of the Al Khoziny Islamic boarding school building in Sidoarjo, East Java, have been identified by the Police Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) team.
“As of Friday a total of 50 bodies have been identified,” said BNPB spokesperson Abdul Muhari in Jakarta on Saturday (11/10/2025). “The DVI team continues to process 11 remaining victims, including five body parts found gradually by the joint SAR team.”
All identified victims have been handed over to their families for burial, while several families are still awaiting further identification results at Bhayangkara Hospital in Surabaya, according to antaranews.com.
Following a ministerial meeting led by Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Pratikno, the government will conduct a full structural audit and provide technical recommendations to ensure building safety in future education infrastructure projects.
